More an more people are gardening these days, either as a by-product of the recession, or just because they can and now they want to have a little more control over what they put into their bodies. Part of the harvest is the preservation of the harvest. By preserving, you can enjoy it throughout the year and still many skip this step and let it all go at the end of the season. Why? because they think it is a hard and time consuming process and in reality it is not.
This year Slow Food Utah is presenting several opportunities to learn the steps to preserving your harvest. It Starts Tomorrow with a class on tomatoes and continues for four Mondays at a different location, with a different topic, each Monday.
Cost: $15 for Slow Food Utah members/$20 non-members per class, $50/$70 if signed up for all four Register at http://www.slowfoodutah.org
