How many of you knew there was a museum in the Rio Grande Depot? Along with housing the Utah State Historical Society and a Mexican Restaurant, this historical building (turning 100 this year) also houses a pretty great museum.

In addition to a great museum the building also houses a Research Center where you can browse 100′s of 1000′s of historical documents, photos and more to do your own research.

The first time I ever visited the museum I was taken by not only the beauty of the building, but also the rich history of our state and the vast displays of historical artifacts.  I spend hours there and couldn’t wait to go back.

They are open daily from 8:30am until 5pm, but hours can and do change so it is best to visit the WEBSITE, before going, for updated information.
