East West Connection – Asian with a Twist on Foothill.
Rating:

What is this place? Vietnamese? Chinese? Korean? Thai? Well, it is called East West Connection for a reason. It is a nice blend of all of the above.
I hadn’t been here for quite some time and while deciding where to trek off to for lunch the other day my friend and I settled on this place. Why? I am not sure, but we are glad we did.
I had forgotten how good this place was. I ordered the five spice chicken, my friend the curry chicken and her friend the sweet and sour pork.
First, my chicken. It was wonderful. The morsels of cut chicken were tender and juicy and seasoned with just the right amount of 5 spice. it was served with a lovely side salad of mixed green, fresh tomato slices and onion.
The curry chicken was also very good and competes well with the best of the local Thai restaurants. Just the right amount of sweet, savory.
The sweet and sour pork I was hesitant to try, but I am very glad I did. The pork was not breaded at all and the sauce was made from scratch with tomatoes, red peppers and carrots. It was the perfect tangy sweet and sour sauce and very reminiscent of my mother-in-laws home made Korean sauces.
This is a fabulous restaurant in the Foothill Village shopping center and it is often overlooked since it is upstairs above MacCools, but if you are in the area wondering what to have for lunch or dinner I highly recommend that you give it a try.
