Review – B&D Burgers, Salt Lake City, UT
It is no secret that I am a real estate agent and with that being the case I often times find myself driving around at lunch looking for a meal between appointments. Today was one of those days. Not enough time to go home and I needed something quick before my next appointment. Luckily at 11:30 you can usually avoid the crowds anywhere you go.
Today I was driving in the U of U area B&D burgers caught my eye. Nestled in a long row of restaurants such as Ariosto’s and Market Street B&D is a place I had walked by many time, but never been in, so I made it my choice today.
Having never been there before I randomly ordered a bacon cheeseburger and an order of onion rings. I always like to order onion rings when I have never been to a burger joint before as a sort of quality test. I figure if they can make good rings, then they can make it with everything else. The rings will definitely not disappoint you, they are properly crispy and each one is centered with a juicy and sweet onion ring.
The bacon cheeseburger was very good, the juicy patty was topped with crispy bacon and cheese and the homemade bun was liberally coated in the fry sauce and topped with the lettuce and tomato.
A quick scan of the menu shows they also feature Gyros and other Greek selections and no one item appears to be over $4.00. I got out of there spending a little over $8 for the burger, rings and an iced tea.
It looks that the dining area has been recently updated with trendy colors, light fixtures and slate floors. It was clean, well maintained and I will be back.
